Back to work

In the last week I have been busy working with Gervase of GSharp tools fitting a kitchen in Belsize Park.

We ripped out the old kitchen and fitted a new high gloss white kitchen. The worktop is to be provided by granit-ops, so the final finished pics will follow in future posts.

Check out our progress below

Apologies for all the images. But a picture paints a thousand words. I could tell you about all the design issues we had to overcome. But it is easier to show you the progress we made and once the worktop is on I can show you how well it all came out. There may also be photos of the floor and tiling once complete, but we'll have to wait and see.

I learnt a huge amount on this job. Not just in carpentry techniques, but also in how my brain works. We had some long days and I struggled at times. But I found once I stopped over thinking and took a break I came back and "got it". Experience in any job doesn't come overnight, sometimes that's a lesson hard learnt.

I have a lot to learn and I love that. It's great to have a change and start my career all over, especially as I learn new skills with every job. I get a huge amount of satisfaction from carpentry and look forward to sharing the next project soon.
